The tour was great fun and very informative. It provides a new insight into the city's history and the oftentimes invisible role played by animals in it. Recommended!

This tour, thoughtfully designed by Rochelle, is an absolute gem! Something the city, and the world, truly needs more of. Highly recommended!!!
As part of a summer school, we did the tour with a group of 15 international scholars. The tour has it all: intriguing facts and historical insights, while also being an invitation to open yourself up to the city and ALL of its inhabitants.
What makes the tour particularly compelling is Rochelle’s approach to connecting postcolonial and feminist academic literature directly to tangible, everyday things in the city. She makes visible how histories of oppression continue to shape the present, and how human and animal oppression can emerge and persist through these structures.
The city is turned into a space for learning, questioning and seeing differently: it is thought-provoking, engaging, and moving. I will for sure do this tour again some other time, and stay connected to Rochelle's work.

This tour in summer 2026 was very insightful! I thought this would be very academic but it turned out to be super engaging.
